Digital Picture Frame

On the top of my to-do list, for a long time is to go through my boxes of old photographs and make a few photo albums.  I figured after retirement I would get around to it.  Anyway it is still on my list.  A few weeks ago I got a new printer that had a built in scanner so I pulled out an old box of my kids baby pictures and scanned them in to test out the scanner.  I noticed the pictures had started to age and it occurred to me that rather than make a photo album I should get a digital picture frame.  Not knowing anything about them I started researching. I found out that there are many things to consider before purchasing a Digital Picture Frame. The first thing is the size of the screen which starts at about 7 inches and goes up to 20 inches or even larger.  The other issue to think about is the resolution which is generally about 800 x 600. My printer and camera both have SD memory chips so I realized that the you have to be sure it has compatibility with your desired uploading medium or memory card format. Some of them even offer WIFI or wireless upload options.  I have thousands of old photos so if you are like me you probably want to look at getting a digital photo frame that has plenty of storage.

Panimage PAN7000DW: The Pandigital PAN7000DW Digital Picture Frame has 1 GB internal memory and can hold up to 6400 photos. This was one of the main reasons I chose this Frame. I have a scanner and cartons of photos that never got into albums. Now I want to consolidate them for when I move. Scanning them to sit on my computer instead of in the boxes made no sense. Now I can view them in a slide show and the 4.3 aspect ratio is so important since the different sizes of the old photos are not distorted. I can transfer them so easily from my PC with the drop and drag method by using my own USB cord and a choice of options. New photos on my camera can be be loaded just by popping in the Memory card. This Pandigital has 5 in 1 card reader, JPEG and AVI. There is a great internal memory and no need for additional software. I am pleased with the ease of adding the photos because of this time consuming project. The instruction manual was so clear and the quality of the Photo frame so advanced that everything is going smoothly. I can add current photos from my cell phone or wireless like WiFi since it is Bluetooth compatible I can also use MP3 for audio, videos and music with satisfactory sound from the one speaker There are so many feature options to implement and enjoy that this is a highly recommended model of Digital Picture Frame.
